A Promise Since 1929: The Story of N Gopaldaas Jewellers
Every jewellery house has a beginning. Ours began in 1929 in Trichy, when Shri. Nandalal B Shah and Shri. Gopaldas C Mehta opened the doors of N Gopaldaas Jewellers with a simple belief: that jewellery is memory, identity and inheritance — and that families deserve a jeweller they can trust for generations.
Built in our own workshops
By 1940, the house had established its first close-setting manufacturing workshop, and the partnership was formally registered. Making our own jewellery meant we could stand behind every piece — the gold, the stones and the hands that set them.
In 1997, we opened an open-setting workshop with a dedicated quality-control process, so that every design is checked before it carries our name.
Fifty years, then four generations
In 1979 the house celebrated its golden jubilee — fifty years of building a name families trust. In 1995 the fourth generation took the house forward, bringing new design thinking while keeping the values that started it all.
A family legacy is not inherited once. It is earned, every day.
